Malcisbo

Malcisbo develops novel carbohydrate-based vaccines for human & animal health. Based on a novel platform technology, we develop vaccines against bacterial  and parasitic diseases.

Our development projects are:

  • Campylobacter vaccine, for use in broiler chickens, to prevent human food poisoning
  • Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae vaccine, for use in pigs, to prevent economic loss during food production
  • Haemonchus vaccine, for use in small ruminants, to prevent economic loss during food production
  • Heartworm and Hookworm vaccines, for use in dogs and in humans

Excellent ranking on place 9 as best vaccine startup in the Top 100 Swiss startup survey.

Malcisbo has successfully closed its seed financing round. The initial target of CHF 2.4 Mio. was substantially exceeded. Private investors, Business Angels, Zürcher Kantonalbank Startup Finance and Redalpine Venture Partners AG have invested in total a sum of CHF 3.6 Mio in the company. In parallel the company was granted a substantial research contribution by CTI.
